Lost user switch capability with 9.10

I recently updated my system to 9.10. It uses GDM for the login but I use KDE for my primary desktop. (my wife uses Gnome)

Before the upgrade, I was able to open a new X login from the screen saver unlock dialog or from the desktop right-click menu in KDE. Gnome was similar.

After the upgrade, all options for changing users from KDE were missing. The Gnome methods all still work.

Please help.

KDE's user switching works with KDM not GDM. The same thing happens in gnome if you switch to KDM.

It worked fine in Jaunty.... I guess I will have to change the login manager.
