hi! ^^
I originally installed kubuntu on my laptop. I then installed ubuntu-desktop, so I could switch sessions. I would now like to just have ubuntu and get rid of kubuntu. How would I do this? I read somewhere that uninstalling the originally installed os would screw things up. I just wanna make sure. Thanks!

This can be done by removing the meta-package kubuntu-desktop, however I'm not sure if this will break something since KUbuntu is the original edition you installed.
so I think you should wait for someone more experienced to reply first.

I did this on fedora (since I was just playing around with it anyway) started with KDE, installed Gnome, removed KDE. It worked, but I quickly noticed that many things that should have been in gnome were missing. I can only assume Ubuntu would work the same way.
