Convert Studio to Ubuntu 9.10

I've been messing around gain!!

How do I convert Studio 9.10 to straight Ubuntu 9.10?

Short of a fresh install, replacing your existing installation, there are a number of options. If all you want is the "normal" Ubuntu desktop appearance, the easiest is probably to enter this on the command line:
sudo aptitude ubuntu-desktop
It will ask for your password, which won't show as you type.

Yes a simply conversion is very appealing as my last DVD +RW seems to have problems.. so thanks ans will try.:KS

You might be able to solve your problems by burning the iso to a DVD R instead of a DVD RW. I have seen many posts that indicate that using a RW is a bad idea.

A DVD R would be favourable but I don't have one at hand only a rather stuborn Rewriteable which will not rewrite! LoL

go and get a beer, use the DVD-RW as a coaster, and buy some DVD-R blanks tomorrow....;)
