I recently installed ubuntu studio 9.10 and its login theme is very boring one.

How to change the GDM login theme for ubuntu-studio 9.10

Every forums i searched shows how change the background and something but not really change the theme.

if it not possible to change the gdm theme easily can anybody tell how to remove it switch back to jaunty's gdm where we can actually install new themes

You can actually make some changes to the current gdm screen, like change the background, and even apply gtk themes to it. See this link for more details:

i tried your link, it didn't go very well for me, thank for the help anyway

At last answered my query my self. I simply removed gdm and installed gdm2.20(legacy) from synaptic
that's all
now the old Login window appeared in system>>administration where we can install any gdm themes

I TRIED IT ONLY IN UBUNTU STUDIO 9.10 ALTERNATIVE , IT WORKS WELL FOR ME
