I am new to this forum and Ubuntu. I installed 9.10 alongside Windows 7 - 64 bit. I am running 32-bit Ubuntu though. The install went fine. I answered yes to the question about automatic logon to Ubuntu. The first time the update manager promted me for updates I clicked on Install and it promted me for a password. I enter my password that includes a capital letter and a pound sign. There is a slight chance that I mistyped my password twice at install but I don't think so. I am considering whacking Ubuntu, running fixmbr, and then re-installing this time saying no to the automatic longon question. Or, is there a way to clear my password without doing the reinstall? I can't set up the wireless either because it prompts me for my password to authorize the settings change. Of course it says my password is incorrect!
