Hi
Can anyone tell me what is going on.
I did a fresh install today with a EN8400GS Nvidia card.
Once the installation had completed ubuntu wanted to do some updates, and so I allowed the updates and then the Gnome panels and all contents of the panels disappeared.
I then removed the EN8400GS card and used the onboard G3100 video which was working fine yesterday.
Same thing happens, update and then panels disappeared.
I am now stuck with a desktop without menus etc.
I have looked at other posts which suggest ALT+F2 and then killall gnome-panel
However pressing ALT+F2 does absolutely nothing.
Can any one help with the after the 3rd install of the day I am a little peeved and considering Windows.
Thanks
Yogiman!
