I'm working on an install that started off as Ubuntu minimal. I added xorg and used compiz-fusion as a standalone WM. I got tired of checking my phone to see what time it is, so I added xfce4-panel and a few panel plugins.
So if I hypothetically continue on this path and add the xfce4-menu to my panel, xscreensaver, xfce-power-manager, and other stuff in the xfce metapackage one-by-one, when do I stop using compiz as a standalone and begin using xfce+compiz? I never went and installed the xfce metapackage, but did install most of its individual components over time.
Just some food for thought.
