Unchangeable screen resolution

I have one of the mini HP notebooks and was experimenting with the screen resolution.

Without thinking, I made it too low, so that the "Apply" button on the screen resolution control is below the bottom margin and I cannot make a change.

So what I need is a way to change screen resolution when I cannot use the Display control

If you hit Ctrl+Alt+Plus, it will cycle through the available valid resolutions in your xorg.conf.
