i installed opensolaris and never worried with linux breaking ever again!

This is probably because Chrome have imported your Internet Explorer settings, which is by default Bing in the lastet version.

Installed in in LINUX, duh... See the main text- "Post the weirdest thing that ever happened to you in Linux" ;) And I haven't tried installing IE in Linux yet and I don't ever plan on it. LINUX RULEZ!

I wanted to see what using Linux without GNU is like, just to see what all the people who call the OS "Linux" are on about, so I downloaded the source off kernel.org and gave it a try.

Yeah, that didn't go so well.

Did you download it from a torrent or a funny mirror? Maybe you took the default settings of the person you got it from?
Is that even possible?

Man, yall took it like an urgent call for help- I was KIDDING all the time although something of the sort did happen once, only it was opera loading the FireFox site instead...
