Cannot get past login screen after upgrade to 9.10

Just upgraded to 9.10 but when i login it just shows a blank screen and comes back to login again...

Do you have a graphic card? If yes, the problem could be that you need to install driver for it.

Try this:
1) On GNOME login, select "Failsafe GNOME" under session list, and log in
2) Go to System->Administration->Hardware Drivers to install the proprietary driver
3) Reboot

Do not see any sessions options now...only user login names and power options

You need to click user name first, it should show up at bottom of screen. I don't like the way it was designed either.
