View Full Version : [ubuntu] Cannot enable wireless after upgrade to 9.10

I upgraded to 9.10 yesterday and had no problems with the wireless the first time it booted. I shut down the laptop overnight, and on subsequent boots I haven't been able to enable the wireless connection.

I have a Broadcom BCM4312 802.11b/g running on a dell inspiron laptop.

I tried re-installing Network Manager, and I checked to make sure the wireless driver was active (it says it is). I'm out of ideas. Help!

Hi alehman,

I'm pretty sure that your Broadcom 4312 WiFi chip is functionally the same as this guy's "4311". My HP has a Broadcom 4321AG that is driver-"family compatible" with both of those as well.
