hi
I got along with ubuntu recently. I hav a 9.04 CD from canonical and want to install it on another PC which doesn't hav network connection. IS there any sources from which I can download all required updates to my xp computer and make a dvd or so because downloading everytime costs me a bit more

Howdy, sidene!

You should take a look at Keryx (http://keryxproject.org). It allows you to take a "snapshot" of your offline computer and download packages for it from any online computer (Windows or Linux).

If you want to, you can make a DVD repo with the .debs using APTOnCD (http://aptoncd.sourceforge.net/). That way you can take them to any number of friends' computers and install software for them too.
