desktop edition on a netbook?

is it possible to have the desktop edition on a netbook with an Intel atom processor?

It is possible. Just like how manufactures install the same version of XP on desktops and netbooks. Although I do suggest at least trying the netbook remix just because that is optimized for netbooks.

Sure it's possible, and it works well. The netbook remixes I've tried don't do much for me, and I run straight Ubuntu on my EEE PC. I like it.
