View Full Version : [ubuntu] 9.10: Problem with PEAP secured Hidden network connection settings

November 23rd, 2009, 01:00 PM
I've just upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10 and am trying to connect to a hidden wireless network. It is PEAP protected WPA enterprise and it is HIDDEN.
The problem is with the connection manager itself. I can connect fine If I create a new connection but trying to reconnect using the existing connection everything is greyed out, including the connect button. (see attached screen-shot). the result is that I have loads of connections of that name that go nowhere.
This was never a problem in 9.04, or 8.10, where I was always able to select the existing connection and my password would be saved. You can see in the picture there's no password in the box.

Feel I should point out, I am new to Ubuntu/linux
Any ideas? Help much appreciated.

I have the same problem !
It seems that some permissions are not available (some with keyring permissions...). But I found nothing on the web, someone else have this problem?

It seems that a bug is opened: #468741 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/468741
