How to upgrade from ubuntu 9.04 to kubuntu 9.10??
I have given a 30gb partition to ubuntu9.04 and now I want to use that space for kubuntu 9.10.
The other OS I have is Vista Home Premium

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade will bring you up-to-date.

Anyone have any ideas how to help with spontaneous insomnia? This is a non-Ubuntu question:p I just can't go to sleep at all.

I don't believe you can "upgrade" from Ubuntu to Kbuntu. You will have to do a fresh install.

You can install KDE alongside Gnome and decide at login which DE you want to use at that time.

It is highly recommended that you back up /home and do a total reinstall.

@ram2500 - take a sleeping pill - stop drinking caffeine and stop smoking - take a walk - take a hot shower - drink warm milk with vanilla, sugar and cinnamon - listen to the US Senate - turn off the computer

You may upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 by following these instructions:

http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/upgrading

You can "switch" (I would not use the word "upgrade") from Ubuntu to Kubuntu by following these instructions:
