Ciao!
Do you have any ideas for good community software? In my case the term good means software, where user-policy allows to create several roles and users can create own groups and sites for the established groups. Facebook or Myspace has similar idea -> each user has his/her own site and user can be connected groups or other individual persons.

Random suggestion, build a community in Second Life and give it a graphic edge :) Make a meeting hall (or even use some of the public ones). Theres some big Linux and Programming groups there, aswell as Blender and GIMP groups.

I think TS is referring to a social networking software.

Yes, excatly - there is a need for community software. Thanks for the tip, I have found also few from Sourgeforge but it would be nice to hear end user experiences. I'll share my here later on...

Found one, looks like Drupal is the one. It is even in the repositories...
