When I installed Ubuntu I partitioned my hard drive so I could keep windows XP, but now I would like to get rid of windows altogether and just run ubuntu. How would I go about doing that?

I'm currently running Karmic Koala.

Download Gparted live CD (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/) and remove Windows partition with it.Add free space to your Ubuntu partition.

Or you can run gparted from the Ubuntu Live CD if you already have that and want to save yourself the download.

thanks for your responses.

I didn't have any CDs so I used a DVD and put G-Parted live on it. It wouldn't run. Does it need to be on a CD?

Also, I have Ubuntu 8.10 on CD and started that but couldn't find where G-Parted was??

Any help would is greatly appreciated.
