I recently viewed meetings for the Texas teams in my area, I live close to Dallas more so than Austin. I am new to ubuntu , I have a lot questions ?
The recent post dated Nov,18th indicates that there was three meetings .

I see last weeks meeting was a success, That took place in Dallas at UDS,
I had a busy work week so I could not attend, I did keep up with chats now as of today .

Today looking at meetings schedule for Texas Teams the one scheduled for Dec,5th
in Arlington, Tx was removed.

I had made arrangements to attend the one in Arlington, Tx.

Austin, Tx is a 4hr drive from here. I am just curious to why it was not shown on the meetings list that was updated Nov,21st 2009

Please let us know, I am trying to involve more people to Ubuntu, it is an excellent
operating system , I am looking forward to working and learning from it .

Thank You , Lucy Ann Ruiz

I was under teh impression that this meeting had moved to Dec 6th (first sunday of the month, like discussed at the UDS meeting). And that catco/dailystruggles/Daniel stone was having an optional meatspace get together to coincide with it.

...I need to write up that meeting summary now...

The meeting at UDS is misstated it is the 19th at the previous discussed locale.

Daniel StoneHowdy Daniel,

I don't see much confusion being generated here. He was simply mistaken in thinking that the meeting was going to be moved. Nothing wrong with a simple response saying "Nope, it's still on Dec 5th."

What I was referring to was the fact the sticky posts being constantly edited.
That causes confusion because it does not appear as a discussion.

I understand that it is trivial but when you read one post and the another has
different information it may be hard to decipher. Not for you and I but more
the other person who may not know the discussion.

Thank you for correcting me. But I added more information to the event (http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=8370250&postcount=2) to ensure
that others could attend.

Cordially,

Daniel Stone
