I'm trying out Fedora 12 on LiveCD, and it's pretty nice. I like yum's interface better than apt-get, and KDE 4.3 seems alright.

Kubuntu gets a bad rap, and I'm wondering if that's true. Especially for KDE fans, how does Kubuntu Karmic stack up?

I love it. It's the most stable version of Kubuntu that I have ever used..and it worked no probles on my nettop whereas gnome couldn't even run the liveCD.... (but both the gnome and the KDE version ran fine on the laptop, but KDE in my opinion just has much better powersave options than gnome)

But the more I have used kubuntu 9.10 the more I have come to really prefer it to Karmic 9.10 in gnome...
