What's the command prompt to install this. I've tried to download it via Opera and Firefox and it stalls after 4.1MB!

I haven't tried it although have it installed it must be running even faster it was a fast browser to begin with. Chromium is okay but I think it is over-hyped like Chrome is. Anything Google is involved with is suspect. Speed with the Google Chrome doesn't equal safety. I wouldn't bank or use a credit card with Chrome or Chromium.

I agree totally, with Google I think were trading one devil for another. As far as Opera goes they have ALOT of competition now with Chromium AND Firefox, so I think every release from Opera better be a good one ,they can't afford to loose users at this point.

I have the Google history turned off, the FF addon customizegoogle and have Google analytics blocked with no script, the only more I could do would be against the law. I do like the Google search engine in general as well as Google Scholar.

Myself as well I use the Google search the most, it is the "go to" search engine, if you want a site on the Internet you want it on Google. However I still wouldn't trust them simply because they are all about the money even though they spend a great deal of money trying to prove otherwise.

I gave a short try at the new opera it goes as fast a Chrome or Chromium. I also saw a post by a regular poster about Chrome or Chromium using a lot of Ram and slowing down with like 6 tabs. I have ram to spare but with my tinfoil hat securely snug I don't trust Google at all.

THE LATEST VERSION WOULD BE HELPFUL I THINK.

For those who want qt4 version (default from their main download page is still qt3), take a look here. (http://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/linux/1010/final/en/)

Apart from all awesomeness, they finally made tray icon right too :D

Just this morning I got a new update for Opera on both 9.04 and 9.10. Have not tried it yet.

New qt4 version has a bug with dark gnome themes (including dust).
