I have tried both 9.04 and 9.10 as a live CD first and my system will not use ether of them? I have 8.10 on there now when 9.04 first came out i tried to do a update/upgrade though the update console and it did not go well and i ended up doing a fresh reinstall of 8.10 to even use my system. I hope this is not for things to come with the next LTS version cause I won't be able to use ubuntu anymore if it is. With 9.04 my system would hang at bootup then when i fixed that it would hang at the desktop "no mouse or key presses" I could not do anything with it. With 9.10 the same desktop hang as in 9.04. I built this PC from scratch and win xp has no problems with the hardware. Puppy OS does not have a problem ether. So wonder if it is the board or the OS???

You can't use the Live CD to upgrade as it doesn't have any packages on the disk.
You need to use the alternate install CD to perform an upgrade.
