FYI, while there is a tradition in technical circles to say this, we have intentionally broken with tradition by forbidding this response in our forums.

Forum CoC, section II, item 8

Try to avoid acronyms and jargon when giving instructions. New, or "green" users may not be able to follow you, and many will not ask you for an explanation in order to avoid looking stupid. RTFM, "Go look on google" are two inappropriate responses to a question. If you don't know the answer or don't wish to help, please say nothing instead of brushing off someone's question. Politely showing someone how you searched or obtained the answer to a question is acceptable, even encouraged.I'm going to close this thread now.

No one is in trouble, I think this was innocently intended humor, but to help make the statement that we don't tell users to RTFM, but instead we teach how/where/what to read as well as give the contents, at least the first time.

(Oh, and I personally thought the original linked image was amusing.)
