View Full Version : [kubuntu] When copying files over the network only folders get created

November 22nd, 2009, 01:16 PM
Hello folks,

I'm trying to create a backup of my data partition so I can merge this partition with my windows partition and get rid of windows.. :D

But the problem is, it doesn't want to work.. :(

What I did:
1. created a shared folder on my laptop (vista)
2. On my PC a went to: Dolphin -> network -> samba shares -> workgroup -> wernerl-laptop -> backupfolder
3. I copy - pasted all data to the backupfolder

Now it creates all the folders but no data is copied.
It ends with this error message:

The file or folder smb://WernerL@wernerl-laptop/tmp-backup/Music/Childen Of Bodom/Are You Dead Yet %3F does not exist.

Can somebody help me? :-)
