[WebhostingToMake Linux webpage(free)]Would u have any advices which one to choose?

1/ I would like to make webpages about Linux...
Several pages & subjects first, and take time to make it bigger with time.

Would you have any advices for a good & free & convenient webhosting ?
(would you have any links ?)
(I knew that free was good & of 1GB , but now you need to have internet services with free to upload via ftp ...)

2/ Additionally: Is there a LINUX program that is very very close and similar to Microsoft(:???: ) Frontpage ?? (I liked a lot this program under Windows)

Thank you very much of your Info !!

& Greetings,

Patrick

2: I'd recommend you to learn a bit about HTML and try to write pages yourself, but here it goes anyway:

Mozilla Composer (in the Mozilla Suite, not sure it still exists)?
Openoffice.org HTLM Editor (again, not sure whether it still exists)?
Amaya (http://www.w3.org/Amaya/)?
Ginf (http://www.ndeepak.info/ginf)?
JXHTMLEDIT (http://www.tecnick.com/public/code/cp_dpage.php?aiocp_dp=jxhtmledit)?

but now you need to have internet services with free to upload via ftp
I'm sorry, but I don't understand that sentence.

Concerning
"but now you need to have internet services with free to upload via ftp"
Once I have made my webpages with frontpage for instance. I am gonna save all these files into 1 folder of my harddisk.
Then, in order to have my website online on the net, I have to copy all these files on the website providing web page hosting.

There is two way of doing so (sending files to the web page hosting services): via http (mozilla firefox)
or via uploading the files directly (port 21) with gftp for instance.

This last one (via ftp) is my favourite.

What could you advice for web page hosting, with such "ftp uploading" feature ?

Thank you very much,

Patrick
