Ubuntu hangs after upgrade to 9.10

People I have upgraded my ubuntu OS from 9.4 to 9.10 and ever since I have been facing the issue of my system going into non-responsive mode. It is triggered whenever I try to run Google earth or even while I am browsing the web.

Please suggest me what to do....

Do not feel alone, I do not have a solution just the same problem. It hits me in web browsing sometimes but lat night it really ticked me off when I was downloading the Alt. Install ISO of x86-64 9.10.. I got up to 97% downloaded [to the desktop] then keyboard and mouse froze and where non responsive. I sure hope the code writers are digging into this. I was hoping to find a poll/sticky but I guess we both have to hope for the best. :frown:
