Unable to start UBUNTU

I have installed Ubuntu 9.10 on partition. My machine is Pentium 4 hyper treading with window XP and have ATI wonder 128 video card. UBUNTU stops after few second when I click on UBUNTU on boot (Comes up with UBUNTU logo and hangs). In other words I could got UBUNTU to start on my machine. Need help.

While booting press ctrl alt F2 to remove the splash screen (ubuntu logo), so you can see any error messages that will tell us the cause of the problem.
