Hello,
I'm currently experiencing a problem with ubuntu 9.10. The following happened: My mother had ubuntu 9.04 on her pc, and i started the upgrade to 9.10 when she was away from it. I forgot to tell her, and when she went to bed, she shut of the computer whilst the upgrade was still running. Now, when i reboot the computer, everything works fine, except that the Desktop is not usable. It is completely black, and you can't see, nor read any of the icons. However, i can open the Desktop file. Does anyone have an idea on how to solve this? It would be greatly appreciated.
