Hello,

I have a problem with aMSN 0.98.1 after I upgraded to Karmic. I don't know if it's a Desktop Problem or a aMSN problem, because it's the only application which has this behaviour.
I uploaded 3 pictures to show what goes wrong.

aMSN open.jpg (http://ubuntuforums.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=137029&stc=1&d=1258799062) shows normal aMSN.

When I now minimize to tray, the window does not correctly close.

The window bar is still in the panel shown in picture aMSN close-1.jpg (http://ubuntuforums.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=137030&stc=1&d=1258799062) and the shadow of the windows border is still there, see aMSN close-2.jpg (http://ubuntuforums.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=137031&stc=1&d=1258799062).

After a click on the window bar and dragging another window over the shadow lets them disappear.

Does someone has similar issues or an idea how to solve this?

Regards,
CHW

I have the exact same problem. It only started after I switched (clean install) to Ubuntu 9.10. Any solutions?

I have no solution, but I also posted in the aMSN forum and they said, that's probably a window manager bug and not an aMSN problem.

Another bug I've noticed is that sometimes when I have email, aMSN's mail symbol does not appear in the system tray, although if I open aMSN's window it will say "X new mails in inbox". Does this also happen to you?

I can't confirm you this bug, because I don't use aMSN for this purpose.

I suspect that it is indeed a window manager bug. When I turn off Visual Effects (System > Preferences > Appearance), aMSN will minimize to system tray normally.
