Hello,

I have ubuntu 9.10 on a dell inpisron 1545. The graphic card seems to be an intel X4500.
Everything is working very fine, I have 3D enabled and everything smooth.

But I wanted to plug my TV on my computer, using a VGA output to the RGB Component of my TV. It seems that the screen had been detected once, but when I tried activate it in the System - properties- screens window, it just disappeared and now I can't have any access to it, whatever I do.

What should I do to make it working ?

Thanks,
Etienne

with the vga cable connected, and your tv on the proper input, does hitting the function key (the fn key likely in the lower left between the windows key and ctrl) with f8 do anything for you?

if it does, try that combination a couple of times, mine cycles through clone, tv only, back to laptop screen only.

When I hit the key, It doesn't do anything.
But I have a message appearing, something about not possible to change the resolution of CRTR 58 ? (not sure about it, this message does not appear anymore... weird)

By the way, my TV screen does not appear in the screen properties window.
