Installing LordsAWar

I am trying to install a game called lordsawar. I have unpacked the tarball and when I run ./configure in the terminal, I get the error message

checking for SDL - version >= 1.2.0... yes
configure: error: *** SDL_mixer is not installed or has not been compiled
*** with ogg vorbis support

What does this error mean and how do I fix it??
