there was an applet that did what phones like the Palm Pre and others, that was similar to the contact-lookup applet but was capable of grabbing all your contacts in what ever form they were in and wether they existed on your hardware or on the web.
ie: FaceBook, MySpace,Google Hi5 etc.
It could then provide you with a search result that gave you the contcts name, but also the possibility to choose the message type to send.
ie:email, sms, phone call, twitter, facebook etc.
