I for one have noticed that X.04 releases are relatively stable and relable yet x.10 releases are buggy and flaky.

Has anyone else noticed this are x.10 versions just betas for X.04 ones I love Ubuntu 9.04 but 9.10 had so many bugs i had to reinstall 9.04 again just to connect to the internet with a 3G modem, sound was glitchy due to openAL, and bluetooth had also died (Flaky but usable in 9.04).

Has anyone else noticed this trend?

Intrepid (8.10) was the first version of Ubuntu which ran without any major flaws on my computer.

Wish I could say the same, must be a case of luck those of us with 3G broadband modems are detected but unable to connect to web, nice for laptop & netbook owners don't you think? That will make M$ job far easier in discrediting ubuntu, which is a shame but their own fault as it was reported as abug but not fixed before 9.10 was released, meaning we have to resort to using 9.04 if we want internet as downloading new files or downloading fix is not possible with this set up on 9.10, bluetooth also dead as a doornail in 9.10 not good for mobile computing with ubuntu at all.

Lets hope they learn in 10.4 & fix these issues, and get some respect back.

8.04 was the best release of any Distro I've ever used. 8.10 was slow, 9.04 didn't pick up my intel card (i bought a Nvidia just for Jaunty), and 9.10 wouldn't configure things correctly. I'm sticking with 8.04 until Lucid.

I will wait for 10.4 (Lucid Lynx) if issues I raised before are not resolved then I am leaving for another debian based distro.

Tried 8.04 but had problems with 3d driver set up, using 9.04 as best solution for me, if 10.4 borked not waiting until 2011 to get stupid unforgivable mistakes fixed. If 10.4 does I will stick with it until the end of its lifespan or 11.04. I aint touching x.10 versions again too many bug issues with them (too much time lost trying to get things that worked before, working again).:(
