I am not at all knowledgeable about installing programs in ubuntu after having been bred on exe files in windows. I have researched faq's here but cannot find an appropriate answer to my problem and would be grateful if somebody could guide me the correct way in laymans terms how to proceed with installing and running this program.
I have downloaded a tar.bz2 file for installing kmoney 1.0.2. The file is kmoney2-1.0.2.tar.bz2 stored in default directory. I do have KDE Desktop Environment files installed as I understand is appropriate. I cannot however get any further than this. I use kmoney version 8 which appears to run satisactorily but wish to upgrade. Appreciate any assistance. Thanks in advance.
