9.04 to 9.10 - Upgrade or Live CD

Is preferred method to go from 9.04 to 9.10 to upgrade or fresh install from live CD? Is one method less problematic than the other?

I've got Win XP and 9.04 on dual boot system using 2 separate hard drives.

Usually people who perform a fresh install are better off.

Clean install is the way to go and I would suggest that if you don't have to have Karmic right away, then hold off for a few weeks to let some of the initial issues get solved.

Do you have separate /home partition?
