Canonical developers aim to make Android apps run on Ubuntu (http://arstechnica.com/open-source/news/2009/05/canonical-developers-aim-to-make-android-apps-run-on-ubuntu.ars)

Does anyone know if this is still happening or if there is any new information regarding this? I can't seems to find any new information, but I still love the idea.

Hadn't heard about that, sounds interesting though. You can always run the Android emulator (http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/tools/emulator.html)in the mean time and run all your Android apps in there.

Well, currently I use a Windows Mobile phone. So getting that at this time would not really help me. :-)

I do, however, plan to get an Android phone. The program you linked is cool, but to have something native to Ubuntu and built by Canonical....*drooling*...
