After several failed attempts at trying to get Xubuntu installed on my old gateway, I bit the bullet and went ahead and put it on my main HP laptop. Or at least, I tried to.
The installation went smoothly up until the end, when it was transferring docs and settings. Then it froze and I had to shut it off and restart. Now, my computer just loads Vista like nothing else is there, but when I try to reinstall Xubuntu, the partition page tells me I already have Xubuntu installed. So, how do I get the first failed install off my system and Xubuntu reinstalled without overwriting the entire system? I still need Vista on this computer, unfortunately.
Thanks everyone!
