I have a computer with an AMD 32 processor, and I was wondering which distributions can use AMD 32? I've previously tried loading Ubuntu onto it, and it gave me an error saying that Ubuntu doesn't support 32-bit computers.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks.

Make sure you download that x86 version, and not the x86-64 version.

I ordered LiveCD's back when Ubuntu was Hoary, and I got these.

Are those the correct ones?

Those look right.

It sound realy strange... if Ubuntu cant run on AMD 32 computers... then it would be very hard for it to display an error like that :-k

Those are Intel x86, though. I'm using AMD 32.

Those are Intel x86, though. I'm using AMD 32.

It's based on the same instruction set...AMD won a lawsuit a while ago about it... It's very odd that it won't install, actually...

Edit: By the way, every PC from the 386 until the AMD64 was a 32-bit computer...

Maybe I popped the wrong CD in, I'll try it again.

Strangely enough, I had ordered the cd's about a year ago and I could never get them to install either. For some reason, I got an error meaasge during the install that my the cdrom could not be found eventhough the linux image was initially installed from the cd. It had something to do with my dvd drive. The probelm disappeared when I downloaded and burnt Breezy. It installed straight away. Given that I had got a successful installation, I never followed up the problem.
