Nexuiz is one of my favourites. Kind of reminds me of the old Unreal Tournament.

You can get it by adding the Ubuntu Getdeb Games Repo.

The forum has a section for gaming topics. :)

There isn't much to choose from when it comes to quality games. I like Nexuiz (shooter) and Battle for Wesnoth (turn-based strategy). There are newer versions of both on the sites of the two games, though.

Or Go (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_%28game%29). :P

GnuGo (http://www.gnu.org/software/gnugo/) is in the repositories, and GoGui is a Java application that you can just put somewhere in your /home directory. The project page is located here (http://gogui.sourceforge.net/). See my signature for how to play the game. To play online (also uses Java), see KGS (http://www.gokgs.com/) (or Yahoo Games, but it's not as good.)
