the button that says your name and gives you the options to logout and shut down.

at the far top right of the screen

IT HAS GONE!!!

how do i get it back???? :'(

Please try to use more descriptive topic titles. Shouting "Help" only makes people less likely to help you.

You can re-add the user menu: Right-click on a blank area of the panel and select "Add to Panel." Find "Indicator Applet Session" and drag it back to the panel.

Look in the system menu. I think it is there.

sorry jpeddicord (but it did get some attention quickly) i wont do it again :(

jpeddicord it didnt work that gave me the email thing "Indicator Applet".

audiomick thank you now i can log out :) but i was looking for a way to bring back the thing on the top right.


anyone got any ideas?

Whoops, I assumed you were using 9.10, sorry.

Follow the same procedure, but look for "User Switcher" or "Fast User Switcher" or "Shutdown," depending on what used to be there. (Sorry, I don't remember the default for 8.04.)

I am using 9.10..... And I have tryed all those suggestions. None of them where the right thing
