Do you mean workflow solution or graphic design tool. GIMP/Photoshop arent photo software, they are graphic design tools that people use for photo manipulation.

GIMP is fine for little tweaks. For workflow, Bibble and LightZone have native linux clients and are both excellent. RawTherapee and F-Spot are awful, imho in comparison. So is digikam.

Picasa 3 is pretty good.

Depends what I've got..
Paint.NET at work, though I have Gimp installed
Photoshop (6) at home or Gimp
Krita if I am running KDE.

Maybe when I get used to Gimp I'll like it as much as Photoshop, now I find it as frustrating as I used to find Photoshop.

I've tried all three of those and have come the the same conclusion. My money is on Bibble... Another bonus for Bibble is Noise Ninja. That's one amazing piece of software.
