Hi guys, iam a noob and i screwed up my ubuntu using the recovery mode to correct errors that show up while booting. Then it ask me to update something and I said yes...

When I rebooted the following message shows:

"Gave up waiting for root device.
-boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)
-check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
-check root= (did the system wait for the right device)" etc...

I have been watching other forums and got the part that the alert message is the key to fixing the machine

"ALERT! /dev/disk/by-uuid/660bf4e0-9f08-43a3-abec-95c1c90dddcd does not exist. Dropping to a shell"

Sorry about the trouble, ill be checking for replys. Thanks
