View Full Version : [ubuntu] 3G CDMA modem AnyData ADU-510L not working with Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic

I upgraded my laptop from 8.04 to 9.10 ( through all other versions, of course ) and now I cannot use anymore my modem ADU-510L with Karmic.

I consider myself lucky to having kept installed USB ADSL Modem Manager for my other internet connection ( ADSL ), so I still can connect to internet for the moment, while not having the mobile internet available :(

My workaround for Ubuntu Hardy did not worked at all in Karmic , and I did upgrade very fast ( 8.04 > 8.10 > 9.04 > 9.10 ) so I couldn't understand how my 3g modem behaves in 9.04.

When trying to use usb_modeswitch it keeps saying me something about ndiswrapper - that it will be ignored in a future release :( .... If that is true, that spells trouble for all users of ndiswrapper, isn't it ???

Any idea anyone here ???
