I do try other themes but i always find myself going back to "Dust" ;)

personally i think dust could possibly be the greatest gnome theme out there!, with the right colors, font, icons and wallpaper you just cant go wrong with it.

it looks so professionally done i don't understand why ubuntu doesn't come with it as the default theme ( humanity earth tones obviously )

karmic has improved allot especially with the wallpapers! hopefully lucid will look more in the 21st century by default ( get away from the windows 2000 look)

Anyway what is your favourite theme and icon sets you just always seem to use or go back to ?:D

Clearlooks dark, I need relief to my eyes and this is one of the few functional dark themes, sadly Opera Qt4still has issues with it but then I have learned to get around those.

I use the default human theme with the "selected items" color to dark-blue or black

personally i cant stand the human theme but thats just me lol :P it would take me a little while to make a background for the panel that would match the theme

Nodoka! Fedora's default theme, it comes in the package "gtk2-enginges-nodoka" and the matching window borders are in "metacity-themes." When I was using Gnome I always kept going back to that and the Tango icons. If I was using Gnome today though, I think I would go with Dust and the Humanity icons.

I use SlicknesS (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/SlicknesS?content=71993) for GTK and Avio-GDM (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Avio-GDM?content=37395)for GDM. I'm not upgrading to Karmic until I can use Avio-GDM (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Avio-GDM?content=37395).

SlicknesS-black (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Slickness+Black?content=73210)!
I just always change the wallpaper. The default one is cool, but there are dozens of cooler ones out there.
cheers

For me, it's gotta be Dust - or bust.

I always stick with Mac4Lin. I just really like the clean look of it.
