GREETINGS!
I'm building a computer! Nothing special. I have a quick question about the processor and the motherboard. The processor is a AMD - Deneb Phenom™ II X4 Processor 945 and the motherboard is an MSI 790gx-g65. My question is will the processor be compatible with the motherboard? Thanks in advance, Nick.

I'm getting the parts for Christmas because I have no money at the moment. On a side note, I need a job. :P

Both are socket AM3 so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Main think is that they are both AM3 socket. So yes, compatible. Have fun!

The description and specifications says it does, so why wouldn't it?

Thanks a lot everyone, I know about the sockets and whatnot but the motherboard said something about supporting 124 watt CPU's and I read somewhere that the processor was 125 watts. But thanks for clearing it up.
