Just installed 9.10
reinstalled proftpd amd for some reason it wont let my users log into the ftp directories

if i set them to none it lets them in fine but if i aet them to my external like its always been previously it just continously asks for password

any ideas

one differance before is i always used stand alone this time i tried inepd

could that be the problem?
If so could someone tell me how to put it back to stand alone cause ive tried all sorts of tjings to no avail

thanks

no ideas? :(

okay, found out this problem only applies to my external drive (which i have ALWAYS used for my ftp previously).

If i set the ftp to ANY folder on the c drive it works fine..... i went into the properties to try and set up "others" permission (using nautilus) and none of the permissions i set seem to stick. AHHHHHHHH I CANT GET IT!!!!!!!!
