Howdo!

I'm a bit stuck trying to get my graphics card working... Its a radeon 200m on a laptop which originally ran winows. I initially tried loading the driver 6 months ago and failed, settling for a warning that it was running in low graphics mode everytime i booted up. This gave a frame rate of 350ish on GLXgears but flickered a lot when watching video.

I gave it another go and i appeared to have correctly done it and loaded ati-driver-installer-9-3-x86.x86_64.run. Ive got the ATI control panel and it all appears to be ok. But... my frame rate has gone to 40'ish on GLX gears and video is now unplayable on full screen.

If anyone has any ideas it would be geat as i have looked everywhere and got nowhere!

Cheers

Hi,
Can you post it, how did you install your ati driver? You can`t use the official ati driver, because it does not support our 200m card.
I installed it like you can read in here (I followed it until "Configuring X.org"): https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RadeonDriver
