how to do i erase 9.04 and do a clean install of 9.10?

You don't actually have to erase 9.04. Just boot the 9.10 Live CD, start the install, and tell it to install to your existing 9.04 partition. That'll wipe it out.

Someone will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong. :D

nope, no such option. there is an option to use the entire disk, but then my windows 7 would be gone as well.

You have to do a manual install.

Hi don't tell any thing if you do not really know about it. Take care of your comments as most of the beginners will desparate if they receive wrong info and it will also a barrier to open source expectations

I'm sorry. I forgot to mention you need to select manual partitioning. Given that the other two choices are clearly wrong, I just assumed...well...never mind. I'm sorry.
