I have been asked to be sysadmin on a phpBB bulletin board. I know nothing, and have limited experience with Linux.
I have decided to set up a server of my own so I can get complete experience, and it seems to me that I shouldn't bother with unnecessary gadgets. I feel that I'd be best off with a well-tried distribution whose problems are known.
I intend using Toshiba NB100 32-bit notebook for this work.
Any suggestions?
