Transfer & Settings Wizard?

My job is to migrate several computers to Ubuntu.

To save time I want to use a transfer tool to simply xfer all settings from the first machine to other identical machines.

Does anyone know if there is something like the "settings and xfer wizard" like in windows?

All the settings and files live in the home directory.

The settings and files for Susan live in /home/susan

The settings and files for Jessica live in /home/jessica

And so on.

Just transfer those directories, and you should be good.

Making an image might be an idea. I've seen some references to people using them in Ubuntu, so I think it is possible. A company I work for uses this method to keep the Technicians windows laptops all the same.
