I have spent DAYS(!) trying to get sound in Ubuntu Karmic. I am trying to get PulseAudio to work with my M-Audio Delta Audiophile 24/96 sound card. Everything went smoothly the last time I installation ubuntu, and it successfully found my sound card. I also installed the GUI tools for PulseAudio from Ubuntu Software Center, and everything seems fine in the PulseAudio Volume Control when I play sound from eg Amarok or VLC, PulseAudio do get the input. But I still get no sound when connecting my speakers. I figured, as it is a multichannel card, it must be using the wrong channel (like the digital output). Where do I find information to figure out which channel PulseAudio sends audio to and how to change it? Just now I can't change the sink or source, and the names are to cryptic to figure out if they are the correct ones. Any changes in ALSA that has to be made?
